Woz'obona
Woz'obona was founded in 1988 to improve the situation of children and is registered as a non-profit organisation. Recognised nationwide in the field of Early Child Development programmes, Woz'obona has been working closely with pre-schools and local communities for many years. The organisation is currently supporting education programmes, including literacy initiatives, in the provinces of Gauteng, North West and Limpopo, and assisting children affected by HIV and AIDS. In cooperation with the municipal authorities, it is implementing its plan for a 'safety net' for children. This is a holistic approach to caring for orphaned and vulnerable children within rural communities. Woz'obona also provides additional training for pre-school and nursery school teachers in order to improve the overall quality of early education.

These are often issues relating to poverty, unemployment and the effects of HIV and AIDS.
